The standard native bee box is referred to as the OATH box (Original Australian Tetragona Hive). The dimensions are 200mm wide x 280mm long.
Thicknesses can vary as shown in the diagram from 25mm, 33mm and 38mm. If you have a 25mm thick box already you can still split it with a 33mm or 38mm hive box, so yes you can mix and match and they will work fine internally and be the same outside dimensions.
Generally you would get another box that matches your current one but you can mix and match with no problems.
